ivy league standout factor

why your child should get started in middle school
parents underestimate what it takes
Most parents and students wait until junior or senior year of high school to start thinking about college admissions. The reality is, if you want your child the Ivy League or its equivalent schools, that is too late.
Top colleges want to see students have dedicated at least three years to a project or extracurricular. That means that middle school and freshman year should be spent exploring passions and building foundational skills. Sophomore and junior year should be spent on building and scaling a project to millions in revenue or users.
It's not too early to help your child find their passion and find their Ivy League Standout Factor.

how it works
Find Your Child's Standout Factor
Most ambitious students are doing too much. Too many extracurriculars, too many sports, too many hobbies, all with too little depth and mediocre results that blend with the crowd. Not to mention, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and burnt out.
Top schools want to see students work in one area for at least 3 years and achieve an impressive result demonstrating grit, passion, and growth over time. Outstanding accomplishments convince the Ivy League your child will also be successful in the future.
But most students don't know where to begin.
Identifying your child's standout factor means finding the “spike” that will make them an interesting person for the Ivy League and beyond.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING
Families love Prequel programs. Over 150 five-star reviews.
I got into Cornell!
Prequel has been the best summer program I have participated in thus far. Connecting with others who are all as interested as I am in this field was one of the best feelings, especially when able to challenge my limits alongside them
Transformative!
Prequel has exceeded expectations! I not only got to actually build a startup, but I got to meet people working in my dream job and learn from their experiences, learn business concepts taught in school, and develop a network of like minded individuals who I will keep friends with for life. I also leveraged my story to get into my dream school: the Morehead Cain program at UNC.
I am beyond impressed…
At Prequel, you learn how to combine your interests, what you're good at, and what you can give people to create something incredible and become the best in the world. This program helped me achieve what I never thought possible: getting into Stanford. It opened up hundreds of thousands of doors for me to experiment, try new things, and do things that no one could ever think a 17-year-old girl is capable of doing.
I got into Yale!
Prequel's BETA Camp pushed me out of my comfort zone in terms of creativity and adaptability. I’ve uncovered my liking for networking and collaborating with a team based on a shared goal or interest. I ultimately feel that the hard and soft skills I’ve obtained through this program will outlast anything I take away, and I am so glad to have a whole new pool of networks open to me because I’ve decided to give this program a try.
A great community
Prequel has definitely changed my perception of my own goals, and it has made me realize that they are a lot closer than what I thought. That even as a teenager I am capable of starting something big that might change the world. At AlphaX, I am transforming personal development by building a personalized AI-powered journal that helps millions of people improve their habits and reach their goals faster. My project helped me get into U Chicago!
